POSITION SUMMARY: The Plant Operator Trainee is responsible for assistance with
maintenance, repair work, and plant operations under the guidance of certified
operations personnel at water treatment plants, groundwater wells, and water
towers. This position is supervised by a Division Supervisor or Division Manager
and reports indirectly to the Assistant Director and the Director of Utilities.
Must possess a Missouri Class "D" Water Treatment Certificate of Competency or
similar state certification for this position.
