Facilities Technician - Manufacturing Environment

 

The Role:? 

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a?Facilities Technician?to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in?Mesa, AZ 

The key responsibilities of the?Facilities Technician?include, but are not limited to: 

  • Helps develop preventive maintenance procedures for equipment and tools. 

  • Demonstrates the ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues on your?own. 

  • Perform maintenance on machines?including cleaning, greasing, and servicing of manufacturing equipment to prevent breakdowns and malfunctions. 

  • Proactively seeks out areas that need attention such as wire/cable management issues, cleanliness of the factory 

  • Assist in new equipment installations. 

  • Demonstrates initiative and expertise or?at least 2 or more areas of specific production equipment and/or trades such as electrical, plumbing, etc. 

  • Is self-driven takes initiative and proactively seeks out areas that may need attention 

  • Provides production support, when required. 

  • Performs other tasks as required by Supervisor. 

COMPETENCIES: 

  • Ability to trouble-shoot and resolve most equipment and maintenance issues 

  • Has acquired expertise on several types of repairs on machinery including mechanical, electrical and plumbing. 

  • Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude 

  • Ability work effectively with hand and power tools 

  • Good time management and organizational skills?? 

  • Knowledge of safety standards 

  • Willingness to work flexible hours 

  • Good written and verbal communication skills 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel?? 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • HS diploma or GED 

  • Ability to learn Forklift and scissor lift operation and training. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Able to climb ladders, lift 50-70lbs/ move heavy objects. 

  • Be able to stand, be on feet for a majority of working day
