Manager - Information Technology

Position Summary:
The IT Manager's role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  •  Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees.  Communicate job expectations and appraise their performance.
  • Oversee and manage all technical IT projects. 
  • Be a contributing member of the Business Continuity Team. 
  • Be a contributing member of the Information Security Management System Team.
  • Responsible for all information Technology operations, networks, and applications at headquarters and at all branch locations.
  • Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
  • Design, develop, implement, and coordinate IT systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for data security, availability, and integrity
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
  • Preserve assets and information security controls.
  • Manage yearly spending and optimize cost efficiency.
  • Work with other department leaders to provide a modern workplace experience with technology for both our customers and our employees.
  • Other related duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications/Requirements:                                                                 

  • Minimum of three days in office
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • High level of accuracy and completion in tasks.
  • Thrives under pressure, prioritizes quickly and efficiently, and is results driven.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong team player and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
  • Good judgment and technical common sense.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT or related technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering)
  • Minimum of 5 years managing people,10 years systems administration experience, or equivalent proven knowledge.
  • Experience installing and/or maintaining the following:
    • Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines (Data Center Server, Azure Networking, Azure SQL, etc.). 
    • Knowledge in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Warehouse Management systems (WMS), Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM) and Professional Service Automation systems (PSA) and the understanding of how they work together is essential. 
    • Knowledge and understanding in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and the Microsoft Power Platform is required.
    • Understanding of networking technologies including Extreme Networks, HP Aruba, and Watchguard preferred. 
    • Wide Area Networking (VPNs, DNS, etc.).

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage and support the IT Team in all aspects of employee hiring, termination, learning management and skills assessments, reviews, and compensation discussions. Collaborate with employees on career development for employee success.
