Qualifications:

Minimum of 30 year(s) of experience in Hydrologic Research OR PhD Degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering

  • Experience with the installation of specialized instrumentation for the collection of streamflow measurement.
  • Experience with the installation of specialized instrumentation for the collection of rainfall, soil moisture, and eddy flux measurements.
  • Experience with the automated data collection of hydrologic and climatic data. Scientific knowledge of proper research methods for hydrologic research at the plot, farm, and watershed scale.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Power Point
  • Campbell Scientific Loggernet
Duties:

Incumbent will provide insight on SEWRL historical projects and data collection, data availability, and current hydrologic data collection infrastructure. The enrollee shall not sign federal documents, authorize the use of federal funds, nor initiate or conduct federally funded research projects. The enrollee shall not author articles for publication as a federal employee, nor coordinate scientific research between the Government and private industry. The enrollee shall not present themselves as a Government employee or Government representative at meetings both foreign and domestic or when coordinating federal agencies? areas of research. The enrollee shall not make decisions on federally based research on behalf of Government policy makers, and the enrollee shall not supervise any Government employees.   • Assist with the completion of ongoing manuscripts.   40%
  • Consult on maintenance and repair of existing hydrologic data collection infrastructure.   25%
  • Assist with reporting, archiving, and public sharing of hydrologic data.   20%
  • Assist in mentoring of new staff.   10%
  • Assist with field days and research presentations.   5%
