Assistant House Manager

Position Summary:

A private family with a well-established Family Office is seeking an experienced hospitality or private service professional to oversee key operations at their primary and auxiliary residences in Palm Beach, FL.

 

This is a fabulous opportunity for a Concierge, Butler, ex-Yachtie, or Boutique Hotel professional.

 

This individual shares responsibility for the smooth operation of the residences with the large domestic team and reports to the House Manager.

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Perform a daily walkthrough of the main and auxiliary Palm Beach properties to ensure family standards and preferences are met.
    • Must have a strong hospitality/housekeeping background and eye for detail.
  • Assist with projects related to the principals' requests or to further streamline operations.
  • Communicate preference updates accurately and swiftly.
  • Organize special events for the family
  • Host and serve at meals. Set-up for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Manage wardrobes and packing. Travel to regional properties to ensure best practices are adhered to.
  • Assist House Manager with floral arrangements throughout regional properties.
  • Communicate any maintenance items to the Property Manager with the proper trail for tracking.
  • Assist with residence inventories and maintaining PAR levels.
  • Utilize SOPs and checklists; update and edit as required.
  • Assist with driving, errands, and special requests as requested.
  • Weekly travel to South Florida properties and occasional travel to other supporting properties as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have prior experience working in a fine home, boutique hotel, or private yacht with excellent verifiable references.
  • Professional, dynamic, and works well under pressure.
  • Intuitive professional who anticipates needs.
  • Hard-working with demonstrated loyalty and discretion.
  • Computer literate, tech-savvy, and experience with Microsoft products.
  • Fluent English.

 

 

 

Schedule:

Generally, a 5-6-day work week. Hours as necessary to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position. Must have the flexibility for extended days and understand that they will share in weekend and holiday coverage. Hours vary during family residency months, guest visits, and events.
