Junior QC Inspector - Afternoon Shift - SIGNING BONUS ELIGIBLE

PTW is hiring a Junior QC Inspector for our afternoon shift. The successful candidate can expect to work 3 days for 12 hours per day, with a choice of Mon-Wed or Thu-Sat schedule. If you have fabrication experience, and/or want to explore a new career path, we want to hear from you!

• Mon - Wed or Thu- Sat shift rotation with opportunities for extra overtime

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

• Conducts inspection of individual scope of work in progress and at completion.
• Coordinates, compiles and files all documents from the various projects.
• Ensures that all requirements of the Quality Control program are completed in a timely manner.
• Executes the inspection and signoff of projects as per the Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
• Verifies fabrication is completed as per CSA 47.1/W59-13.
• Complies with standards and procedures of the PTW Health and Safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous welding or fabrication experience an asset.
• Ability to provide accuracy and detail in assimilation of project details and reports.
• Possesses basic computer skills, specifically with MS Office.
• Demonstrates efficient organizational skills and the ability to thrive well in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work effectively with team members and yet be independent and self-reliant when completing tasks.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
• Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks quickly.
• Demonstrates initiative and is a proactive problem solver.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Must have own transportation as location is not accessible with public transportation.
• Premium for night shift
• Must have CSA approved steel-toed boots
• Overhead Crane certification is an asset.
