POSITION SUMMARY:  The Office Assistant III provides essential clerical support to the Public Works Streets division within the Public Works/Engineering Department. This role involves operating standard and electronic office equipment and performing a variety of tasks that may change daily. The position operates under general supervision, with work evaluated based on results. This position works under the direct supervision of the Office Manager and reports indirectly to the Director of Public Works/Engineering.

WORK HOURS:              Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
 
WORK LOCATION:        City of Branson, Missouri; City Hall.  This is an in office position requiring work to be performed onsite. 
 
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:  The starting hourly wage is $18.17 per hour and will increase to $18.90 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING 
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Two (2) years of experience working with the public is required.
 
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING
• Three (3) years of clerical experience in a professional office is preferred.
 
MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be highly engaged in the department's goals, and be able to work cooperatively with City of Branson leadership in achieving those goals.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service to the department's internal or external customers. 
• Must possess a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
• Must possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. 
• Must be competent and experienced with Microsoft Excel.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular expertise in Word and Excel. 
• Must possess strong analytical and logical problem solving skills, strong interpersonal communication and relational skills, good organizational project management skills, sound judgment, initiative, flexibility, and be detail-oriented.  
• Must act safely and follow safety standards while at work. 
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings.
