The Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program offers unique opportunities in Scientific, Technical, and Administrative / Office support for individuals age 55 and over and per EPA Policy applicants must be US Citizen to support the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through a grant administered program through National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions). Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in IT Support, technical writing, administrative management (or similar) OR AA Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Communications, English or similar OR Previously completed training in Program/Project Management (preferrable not required)

  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS OneDrive, Adobe, Fax, Copying Machine, Scanner
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive)
Duties:

Assist the EPA's National Center for Radiation Field Operations (NCRFO) by providing IT technical writing, administrative support, and additional duties as described in section (IV) Duties and Responsibilities. Position requires extensive use of computer-based tools for execution of tasks. Candidate must be comfortable with computer environments and be willing to learn additional software platforms. Please note: This is not a remote work position.

  • Provide strong technical writing skills and administrative support to include: Develop technical IT process guidelines, documents, and memos, etc. Prepare, review, revise IT documents and process into applicable file/database platforms such as SharePoint. Assist in the automation of NCRFO IT forms and documents, overseeing and updating documents and forms as needed.   50%
  • Provide direct technical and professional assistance as needed to IT manager and/or Knowledge Manager (all other duties as assigned), which might include point of contact for mass dissemination and collection of IT related information for all users.   20%
  • Assist in the preparation, evaluation, tracking, and coordination of all purchase orders/contracts for the IT section.   15%
  • Assist with USAccess system to include activator and registrar roles in EPASS program, for enrollment, activation, and issuance of PIV cards.   10%
  • Assist the IT custodial officer (IT Manager or/and KM) on all IT inventory related tasks.   5%

  • Annual EPA on-line training as required
  • Required Safety Gear: Hard hat, steel toed shoes as needed
  • Safety Gear Use: When accessing/working in Bldg E (if needed)
