Group Leader - Weekend Shift

Summary of Position:

  • This position is responsible for weekend operation of the Production floor for Layers and Composite.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Monitor/audit records, logbook entries and documentation to ensure thorough and accurate completion.
  • May be responsible for training and certifying new members of the department (maintain department K&D training summary, may not actually do all of the training).
  • Assist other leads and engineer with keeping department(s) SOP's up to date, as needed.
  • Support/assist in moving Critical Part List (CPL) lots and working to meet Production Milestones
  • Works with process engineering group to assist in the identification of process issues.
  • Responsible for machine maintenance:  Ensure that preventative maintenance is performed regularly, contact appropriate people when equipment is not operable.
  • Assists in planning the overtime staffing of the department to support output requirements.
  • Work safely and enforce safety protocols.
  • May be required to cross train in other departments.
  • This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts.                                               
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
  • Communicate issues (elevate immediately, if needed), status, and opportunities to Leads, Engineering and Manager via tie off.

Requirements: (Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses)

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven leadership abilities, prior group leader or coordinator experience.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, team building and organization skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and follow all short sheets/customer documents.
  • Assist in managing department goals for safety, training, productivity and growth of employees. 
  • Ability to work standing for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely. 
  • Basic Computer experience - Microsoft Office-Outlook/Word/Excel.
  • 3 – 5 years of PCB experience preferred.
