Production Control Clerk

Summary

The Production Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining the flow of product into and out of the production floor. This position will be responsible for preparing work order documentation to deliver to production to initiate the manufacturing process, and for the creation of shipping paperwork when product is completed. This role requires the use of Microsoft Office and Oracle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assign serial numbers to manufactured items and maintains database
  • Creates and prints marker bands, MI packs, and barcodes per item Manufacturing instructions
  • Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy of all material cable assembly finished goods including overbuilds
  • Coordinate & request special markers with offsite vendor
  • Prioritize & expedite rush orders per the production schedule
  • Interface and assist the production staff with marker issues and replacements
  • Maintains off-line tracking lists
  • Close production work orders and transfer inventory to finished goods
  • Restocks returned materials from customers
  • Creates shipment packages for completed cable assembly jobs
  • Fulfills material shortages to the floor from Kardex machine
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of MRP systems (Oracle preferred)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Excellent Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft excel
  • Excellent verbal, written and organization skills
  • Requires excellent attention to details
