Bureau of Land Management (BLM)
NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and other professional skills that support to the Bureau of Land Management through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).
This position supports the Bureau of Land Management S. NV District Energy and Infrastructure Team.
? The BLM Experienced Services Program is a unique partnership created to help solve the workforce issues facing government agencies. The program connects experienced workers (age 55+) to the BLM to provide scientific, technical, and administrative support.
? BLM ESP positions are meant to provide temporary, project-based support. This position is currently funded for an estimate of 156 hours.
? A background security investigation may be required prior to the start date. Only those positions with 30+ hours per week are eligible for health insurance benefits; all positions will accrue sick leave.
? The experienced workers participating in the Program are referred to as ?Enrollees? and are not employees of the BLM or NEW Solutions. NEW Solutions is the ESP non-governmental organization responsible for administrative aspects of the program, and the Enrollees work under BLM direction to assist the Agency staff in carrying out their mission. BLM ESP Enrollees benefit from the opportunity to keep technical skills current; to access new training opportunities; to engage in gainful project-based positions; and to undertake meaningful tasks using their experience and talent to contribute to the environment, the national economy, and their own financial security.

Qualifications:Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in Experience with Land Law Examiner tasks, including MLRS OR HS/GED Degree - Experience required with Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, MS SharePoint, MS Teams
Duties:The enrollee will function as a Land Law Examiner (LLS) for the Southern Nevada Energy & Infrastructure Team. The enrollee will work on realty actions related to realty and assist with right of way actions.
Project work includes reviewing applications and plans of development for consistency with regulations and policy, reviewing legal descriptions, tracking requested changes, communicating in official letters with proponents and external contractors, filing paperwork appropriately in casefiles, entering and tracking information in MLRS, and tracking costs associated with projects. - Determine land status of applications. 50%
