Reports to: Operations Manager

Classification: Seasonal, Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Summary

The Janitor is responsible for providing cleaning service for guests, agencies, and staff. Ensures that the restrooms, chem-toilets (port-a-potty's), grounds and facilities are well maintained, cleaned and disinfected, presentable, and fully stocked throughout the day and in a timely manner.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting all property restroom and facilities to provide a safe and pleasant environment for our customers/visitors.
• Follows approved maintenance and cleaning schedule.
• Operates a company vehicle, driving for extended periods of time in inclement, seasonal weather conditions and cleans/maintains vehicle in accordance with company guidelines.
• Trash pick-up throughout the recreation areas, roadsides, grounds. Maintains trash barrels – keep emptied at all times and all areas around trash are to be kept neat and clean.
• Follows Company recycling guidelines and regulations.
• Monitors levels of janitorial supplies, inventory, and equipment based on seasonal demand.
• Inspects facilities for cleanliness and maintenance and reports concerns to supervisor.  
• Ensure all purchase and work orders are clearly defined for purpose and urgency.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Possesses good communications skills, a courteous demeanor, and a helpful attitude. 
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and be insurable through our motor vehicle carrier.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle and maintain the vehicle in accordance with company guidelines. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Basic manual labor abilities, including an ability and willingness to clean and sanitize facilities with a variety of cleaning agents and chemicals, move about the facility for extended periods of time and occasional lifting of 25+ lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, over weekends, and on holidays
• Possesses a genuine concern for guests' experience and enjoys frequent interaction with the public.
