Human Resources Coordinator Job Summary

In this position, the HR Coordinator will organize, coordinate and carry out all human resource department projects and processes. Work directly with and assist the human resources director to fulfill a variety of necessary HR tasks. This includes all hiring, terminations, training and company education procedures for new or existing employees.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work directly with and report to the human resources director regarding all HR endeavors.
  • Support HR director in educating employees on and enforcing company policies
  • Assist in the full hiring process of employees, including recruitment, interviews, verifying work-history and references.
  • Assist with new-hire procedures, including organizing employee orientation, creating new employee files, administering employee handbooks, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is properly filled out and submitted to appropriate persons.
  • Assist in maintaining employee data in ADP.
  • Prepare materials and help organize employee performance reviews.
  • Present any new or additional training materials to employees.
  • Foster positive employee relations and work to solve any employee issues that surface.
  • Abide by company-enforced HR processes and current employment laws and regulations.

  • HR competence and knowledge of HR process and computer programs

  • Administrator and coordinator experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in HR work
  • Strong skills using Microsoft Office Suite; graphic design experience helpful
  • Experience using HR software and HRIS databases
  • Reliable and personable; enjoy working with a diverse range of individuals and ensuring employee requirements and needs are met first
