Member Solutions Insurance Specialist

GENERAL SUMMARY

Responsible for performing duties in support of the Credit Union's Member Solutions Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process Magic Writer Payments and ACH Payments. Check each payment the following day, submit service events as required.
  • Send Repossession letters and update Repo files and spreadsheets.
  • Submit CPI and Lend Pro claims after we sell a repossessed vehicle.
  • Work the State National reports to add and refund CPI premiums and change payment amounts.
  • Monitors credit union's collateral protection program to ensure adequate collateral insurance is in place for vehicle and mortgage loan for the term of the loan by working with members and insurance companies.
  • File all State National insurance claims. 
  • Track and monitor all claims. Work extensively with State National to ensure timely responses.
  • Work the State National reports to add and refund CPI premiums to loan balances and change loan payment amounts.
  • Contact members and insurance companies concerning insurance.
  • Send delinquency notices and Master Card notices.
  • Work Member Solutions reports.
  • Answer overflow of Member Solution calls.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all Credit Union policies and procedures, including compliance with federal laws and regulations as set forth by the NCUA and other regulatory agencies.

  • Attend training courses, conferences and seminars as necessary.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Requires completion of high school education
  • Requires up to 6 months of similar experience in collections or financial institution experience.
  • Requires professional, well-developed interpersonal skills for communication concerning sensitive matters with members and coworkers.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and concept involving decimals, percentages and fractions, etc.)
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to time constraints is a must.
  • Requires PC proficiency and knowledge of Office Suite.
