Executive Housekeeper

Our clients, a couple with grown children, spend four months at their beautiful Palm Beach residence each year. They are seeking a professional who is experienced with cleaning a fine home, knows how to care for fine clothing, and can do some basic and light cooking.

 

They plan to interview candidates in-person between October 7 – 12, with a start date in late October.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assume full responsibility for the general and specialty cleaning of the home.
  • Coordinate and oversee vendors and service providers.
  • Maintain a project list and perform deep cleaning and organizational projects in the off-season.
  • Maintain all closets, perform household laundry (including handwashing and ironing), and maintain the dry-cleaning log.
  • Purchase groceries and household supplies and stock the home ahead of principal and guest arrivals and while they are in residence.
  • Run errands as requested.
  • Available to drive principals and their family or guests to the airport.
  • Capable of occasional light cooking.

 

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working as a Housekeeper in a private home or luxury hotel property. Great for a Chief Stew or Yachty!
  • A self-starter with excellent cleaning skills, including knowledge in the care of fine materials, furnishings, and clothing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Kitchen aptitude.
  • Comfortable in a home with stairs and a small, well-trained (very sweet) dog.

 

Schedule:

January-April are busy months with the principals in residence. The rest of the year is much lighter, and you can create the schedule you want!

 

Compensation:

They are prepared to pay $40-$50 per hour, with a generous year-end bonus. Paid vacation and health insurance available.
