For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States. NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, and technical support to the Agricultural Research Service through the Experienced Worker Program (EWP). *This position will be open until filled. NOTE: This position has the option to work remotely.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in administrative support role using systems such as ARIS, WebTA, Concur or similar. OR AA Degree in Most any area of study is appropriate.

  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point
  • ARIS, WebTA, Concur or similar.
Duties:

This position will carry out several of the duties normally carried out by a program support assistant, including entries into the ARIS (agreements, request to publish, annual reports, and similar), arranging travel (authorizations and vouchers), and timekeeper functions (WebTA).

  • ARIS Entries.   40%
  • Travel arrangement via Concur (not an official approver of travel).   40%
  • Timekeeper (WebTA) (not an official approver of time worked).   20%

Other:
  • Training will be provided as necessary by the agency.
  • Remote work arrangements are available for this position.
