Qualifications:

Minimum of 20 year(s) of experience in Project Management in Design and Construction environment OR BA/BS Degree in General Engineering, Landscape Architect, Architect, Project Manager

  • Project management, historical architecture, experience with Secretary of Interior?s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. Project Management Professional (PMP); Experience in managing A/E projects from design through construction. Experience working with historic structures and landscapes.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point
Duties:

Enrollee will support discrete projects assigned within three Pacific West Program areas, including Disaster Recovery, Federal Lands Transportation Program, and Legacy Restoration.

  • Supports disaster recovery work covered by the 2023 Disaster Supplemental appropriation in Death Valley NP, Mojave NP, and other national parks by reviewing damage assessments, developing and/or reviewing recovery designs, specifications, and estimates for facility repair projects to be contracted out or executed with day labor.   40%
  • Supports and advises on planning, design, and contracting efforts for road repair and resiliency projects that are eligible for Federal Lands Transportation funds in Sequoia and Kings Canyon NPs, and other natonal parks.   35%
  • Supports San Francisco Maritime NHS by applying knowledge of regional and national level construction funding and contracting programs to enhance efficiency for major Legacy Restoration Fund project execution.   25%

Other:
  • Overnight travel: Limited travel, subject to enrollee availability.
  • Air travel anticipated: Occasional travel by air may be required.
  • Rental cars: Possibly.
  • Health and Safety Considerations: Review of appropriate Job Hazard Analyses for defensive driving, field work, working on construction sites, etc.
  • Required Safety Gear: PPE such as hardhats and construction yellow vests, possibly radio will be provided for site visits, but enrollee should have PPE such as work boots and protective clothing.
  • Safety Gear Use: Site visits
  • Physical requirements: Work is generally performed in an office setting, with occasional field work involving moderate risks of construction operations. Limited travel to project sites is expected.
  • Remote work arrangements are available for this position.
