Job Summary:

The Intake Evaluation Coordinator is responsible for the intake of all referrals for the NYC CPSE Evaluation program. The Evaluations Coordinator is responsible for prioritizing cases in order to meet deadlines, goals and age out dates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Referral intake of children whose parents have received the initial paperwork from the school districts.
  • Inform parents and Service Coordinators of the evaluation process during the referral intake.
  • Following up with parents and Service coordinators during the intake process.
  • Responsible ensuring all intake forms are filed appropriately for staffing coordinator
  • Responsible for creating and ensuring all paperwork received during intake is filed in child's folder
  • Works efficiently to meet departmental goals and compliance deadlines
  • Utilizes various programs and databases to monitor responsibilities efficiently. 
  • Follow up on pending medicals
  • Follow up on reports and schedule dates
  • Provide coverage within the department as needed
  • Other duties assigned by manager

Qualifications and Other Requirements: 

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual Spanish required (verbal/written)

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs going to, while at, or leaving work location or facilities traveled to for work events.
  • Occasionally moving and/or lifting objects at work weighing up to 20 pounds such as files or copy paper.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time up to 90% of the work day working on a computer/electronic device.
  • The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Compensation: Full-time hourly non-exempt $20-21 per hour
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm or 9:00am-5:30pm Must Be Willing To Work Overtime As Needed. This position is in office.
