Marketing Account Manager

Summary of Position:

The Marketing Account Manager position is responsible for acting as a liaison between our customer base, our sales and marketing teams and being able to link everyone to our business unit. They represent the company and act in the best interest of the company by ensuring that the business goals and demands are being met. They are the customer’s advocate and support for all day-to-day activities and requests that occur. Effectively support, communicate and flow down all internal and external customer requests in a timely manner resulting in customer satisfaction.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding customer expectations (responsiveness, effective communication, flexibility).
  • Integration between Customers, Field Sales, Marketing Team, Operations and Engineering.
  • Backlog management (integrate demand with Program Managers and Planning).
  • Process weekly order statuses in a timely manner – i.e., 24-48 hours.
  • Quote preparation, correct margins, order processing, and P.O. verification.
  • Attend production, engineering and operation meetings (as required).
  • Identify, resolve and respond to issues that may arise on a daily basis that pertain your customer base. 
  • Resolve/elevate specific customer issues by informing the appropriate management and notify the customer upon resolution.
  • Manage customer(s) portals scorecards and system dates for “Core” customers.
  • Work closely and support the Program Manager that may be assigned to your customer base.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelors/Associate's degree or equivalent with a minimum of two to three years related experience customer service/marketing and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of various order entry and MRP systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Power Point-required), EDI, Exostar and Internet are desirable.
  • High degree of oral/written communication required.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize in a multi-tasking environment with detailed results.
  • Supporting our customers and sales and marketing teams while understanding our company goals and budgets.
  • Knowledge of commercial, and aerospace/defense customers and product offering desirable.
  • Demands consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment.

Must be able to function in a highly dynamic environment and be flexible in schedule and change of paths to get the task done.
