POSITION SUMMARY: The Street Maintenance Lead position with the Public Works/Engineering Department is responsible for leading a crew and directing them in daily maintenance tasks required for the construction, maintenance, and repair of the city right of way, streets, and sidewalks. The position works under the general supervision of the Street Supervisor II position and reports indirectly to the Operations Manager and the Director of Public Works and Engineering.  

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:  The starting hourly wage is $25.15 per hour and will increase to $26.16 per hour after 6 months of successful probation. Please click on this link for compensation/benefits information.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING 
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. 
At least three (3) years of experience in performing street maintenance or closely related field, approved by the director, is required. 
Must possess a current certification in work zone safety from IMSA or LTAP. 
Must possess a current right-of-way applicator's license for herbicide. 
Other additional licenses or certifications may be required. 

MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be highly engaged in the department's goals, and be able to work cooperatively with City of Branson leadership in achieving those goals.
Must demonstrate excellent customer service to the department's internal or external customers. 
Must possess a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
Must possess strong problem solving skills, strong interpersonal communication and relational skills, good organizational and project management skills, sound judgment, initiative, flexibility, and be detail-oriented.  
Must possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. 
Must be willing to participate in Call-Out duty, On-Call duty rotation, and emergency calls outside of normal work hours.  
Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned. 
Must be willing to work snow routes that include 12-hour shifts during the months of November through March. 
Must possess a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement. 
Must act safely and follow safety standards while at work.  
Must be able to pass a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, as well as a physical agility screening.

WORK HOURS:            Typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

WORK LOCATION:       In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.
