Data Integration Manager

Summary

As a leader in the transportation industry, ATS is expanding its IT capabilities with a focus on modernizing its data strategy and integration processes. This position is a key leadership role responsible for developing, maintaining, and scaling the company's data and integration ecosystem to meet the evolving needs of the organization. The role includes managing staff, budget, roadmap, operations, support, and projects related to data strategy, application integration, scalable EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), B2B API capabilities. The ability to effectively manage a diverse team, collaborate with business partners, and deliver on a strategy that contributes to ATS's growth initiatives are critical success factors.

 

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience in the field.
  2. 3+ years of experience leading or mentoring staff involved with data management, integration, and support within an organization.
  3. Proven experience in managing data strategy and integrations in a complex business environment.
  4. Strong planning and problem-solving skills; able to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner and develop alternative solutions.
  5. Project management experience in both ticket-based and bundled project environments.
  6. Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives, manage and implement change, and manage budgets.
  7. Demonstrated experience in team building and collaboration with business leaders, 3rd parties, and internal staff.
  8. Outstanding coordination, facilitation, consultation, and conflict resolution skills.
  9. Proven leadership capabilities in a fast-paced, changing, and growing environment.
  10. Experience with newer, future-oriented technologies is essential.
  11. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  12. Must demonstrate a proactive commitment to ATS corporate values and the success of all staff.
  13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
  14. Excellent communication skills (written, listening and verbal).
  15. Willing and able to travel infrequently, including overnight travel.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Manage the staff, budget, roadmap, projects, processes, and support activities related to ATS's data and integration systems while balancing organizational needs.
  2. Lead the development and implementation of a scalable EDI and B2B API strategy, ensuring seamless and secure data exchange with external partners.
  3. Oversee the 3-level team structure, ensuring that Level 3 staff equip and enable Level 2 staff, who in turn support and train Level 1 staff. Ensure each tier receives the appropriate exposure and guidance for their tasks.
  4. Participate in major strategy, operational, and project-related decisions for the data and integration ecosystem as required.
  5. Direct and validate system documentation at all stages of development and support for data and integration systems.
  6. Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the department and across ATS.
  7. Identify and manage gaps ensuring accurate documentation of systems and resiliency is maintained.
  8. Collaborate with the Application Portfolio team, overseeing installation of upgrades and patches to maintain applications for life cycle at acceptable levels.
  9. Collaborate with internal partners to assist with prioritization and communication with ATS business sponsors.
  10. Continuously seek to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity standards by modernizing or revising company processes, tools, and resources.
  11. Partner with Human Resources in the recruiting, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and training of new employees to create a positive candidate experience.
  12. Plan, delegate, organize, and manage workflow of staff members to ensure high performance.
  13. Provide effective employee performance management utilizing SMART goals, constructive feedback, coaching for improvement, and progressive discipline.
  14. Design and implement ongoing training for current employees; recommend development plan priorities for individual team members and monitor progress against those priorities.
  15. Adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  16. Demonstrates, by their daily actions, ATS Mission, Vision, and Values in a consistent, effective, and reliable manner.

  20. Complete work responsibilities outside of normal business hours as needed and infrequent travel may be required.
