Enterprise Solutions Manager

Summary

The Enterprise Solutions Management Team Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the continuity, stability, and efficiency of ATS's critical business applications across the enterprise. This role focuses on maintaining application lifecycle support, proactive service collaboration, and operational excellence. The manager ensures applications meet current and future business needs, while leading a team to handle system monitoring, upgrades, and security, collaborating across ATS's internal teams and external partners. Success in this role requires a focus on driving reliability, enhancing business continuity, and fostering cross-functional partnerships.

 

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, business, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience leading or mentoring staff involved with application support or development, including hands-on technical experience.
  3. Proven experience delivering complex business technology solutions that meet or exceed business goals, preferring a focus on applications optimized for virtual or cloud environments.
  4. Experience with system architecture, technical design, and system and software development technology.
  5. Knowledge of emerging trends and developments in iOS/Android app API, cloud, and other digital technologies.
  6. Demonstrated expertise in team building and collaboration with business leaders, 3rd parties, and internal staff.
  7. Outstanding coordination, facilitation, consultation, and conflict resolution skills.
  8. Able to foster a culture of transparency and a sense of purpose among the team and create clear accountabilities and metrics using positive and collaborative methods.
  9. Experience in front-end and back-end technologies relevant to web and mobile development.
  10. Ability to lead process improvement initiatives, manage and implement change, and manage budgets.
  11. Strong communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting. Able to communicate technical or complex subject matter in business terms.
  12. Must be self-motivated and able to perform effectively with limited assistance/guidance from functional leadership.
  13. Strong planning and problem-solving skills; able to identify and resolve problems promptly.
  14. Strong interpersonal skills; able to establish trust and rapport with all levels of staff.  Able to relate effectively to diverse cultures.
  15. Must demonstrate a proactive commitment to ATS corporate values and the success of all staff.
  16. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  17. Willing and able to travel occasionally, including overnight travel.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the maintenance and improvement of ATS's enterprise applications while ensuring seamless user experiences.
  2. Develop and implement scalable and standardized lifecycle processes to improve efficiency and quality, and ensure the team can effectively handle increasing workloads for the rest of the decade.
  3. Lead and manage a team of engineers, promoting cross-training across technologies to build a versatile team. Prioritize talent development, mentorship, and support of high-performing individuals.
  4. Stay hands-on with the technology, maintain a deep understanding of the applications, and ensure that the team is producing high-quality work. Be capable of identifying challenges or inefficiencies and driving improvements.
  5. Use a prioritized backlog to plan and execute development work, ensuring clear and accurate reporting on project progress, risks, and achievements to stakeholders.
  6. Collaborate with DevOps engineers to ensure smooth deployments, automated testing, and continuous integration processes.
  7. Manage relationships with third-party vendors and key business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and timelines.
  8. Ensure that rigorous testing and problem management processes are in place to maintain high application performance and user satisfaction.
  9. Ensure that applications are properly maintained and supported after initial deployment, allowing the Applications teams to focus on new development and improvements.
  10. Manage the staff, budget, team goals and objectives, projects, processes, and support activities related to the team.
  11. Provide effective employee performance management utilizing SMART goals, constructive feedback, coaching for improvement, and progressive discipline.
  12. Partner with Human Resources in the recruiting, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and training of new employees to create a positive candidate experience.
  13. Plan, delegate, organize, and manage the workflow of staff members to ensure high performance.
  14. Demonstrates, by their daily actions, ATS Mission, Vision, and Values in a consistent, effective, and reliable manner.
  15. Support ATS' culture by aligning actions, behaviors, performance, and decisions in accordance with the Company's values as set forth in our All-Employee Competencies.
  16. Carry out managerial and leadership responsibilities in accordance with ATS' policies and applicable laws.

  18. Complete work responsibilities outside of normal business hours as needed and infrequent travel may be required. 
  19. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
