Technical Project Manager

Opportunity Overview:

The Technical Project Manager will drive projects from inception to delivery, managing budgets, timelines, and quality goals. The manager will also identify, analyze, mitigate, and proactively respond to project, financial, and operational risks. The Technical Project Manager will execute the project delivery process so that the distributed resources can work as an effective, objective-driven, and collaborative team.

Scope of Opportunity:

  1. Develop and maintain consistent standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance for the End Point area and staff.
  2. Responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing improvements in IT processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  3. Continuously improve productivity by analyzing deficiencies and recommending and implementing changes in tools, training, processes, and employee/customer engagement.
  4. Determine and recommend the best hardware, software, and peripheral equipment to use company-wide and alternative options due to supply limitations.
  5. Define technical specifications that fulfill the technical requirements for running the ATS ERP system, Citrix, and all business software.
  6. Install, configure, and test hardware and software components, ensuring systems are ready for end users of all business technology endpoints, including desktop phones, mobile phones, laptops, desktops, conference rooms, and business tablets.
  7. Install endpoint security software and collaborate with the cybersecurity team to protect endpoints.
  8. Manage the software licensing to ensure adequate licensing based on corporate users.
  9. Determine equipment replacement timeline and best methods for recycling equipment.
  10. Uses an IT ticket system, is responsible for receiving and tracking trouble tickets and requests, assigns them to a technical specialist (who could be themselves or someone else) for action, and ensures that their tickets are resolved and closed out with the customer and in the system.
  11. Manage the procurement of software and hardware assets by working with vendors and maintaining positive relationships with them.
  12. Manage and report on key performance indicators to upper management.
  13. Contributes knowledge and updated information to maintain the Desktop Support SOPs and Training manuals for support.
  14. Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding company and personnel information to maintain a professional work environment.

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field. 
  2. Minimum of 5 years experience with Endpoint management, configuration, and automation.
  3. 5 years working in Windows, Citrix, M365, iOS, Android, and TCP/IP Networked environments.
  4. 5 years Experience with customer support, including assisting executive-level users.
  5. Experience in an enterprise 24x7x365 SLA production environment supporting over 1000 endpoints and users.
  6. Experience with Endpoint configuration tools such as Microsoft Intune, JAMF, or Manage Engine.
  7. Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  8. Strong ability to diagnose and correct program and system failures/malfunctions efficiently and accurately.
  9. Ability to demonstrate familiarity with Endpoint management systems, reporting, and capacity planning.
  10. Support desktop maintenance, including inventory and software distribution, and security maintenance, including updates and patch management.
  11. Must be able to demonstrate a proactive commitment to ATS corporate values and the success of all staff.
