Executive Security Driver (Weekend Availability)

A private family is seeking an experienced Executive Security Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services for the Principal and their family, primarily within New York City, though travel may extend to other areas as needed. This is a full-time position with a focus on weekend work. Given the Principal’s frequent travel schedule, there will be periods of downtime, but when the Principal is in the city, the driver must be available on short notice and as required. Immediate interviews available-Start date is flexible.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport the Principal, family members, and guests to various destinations, including meetings, offices, events, airports, and appointments.
• Proactively plan routes and schedules, anticipating potential threats or delays that could impact the Principal’s travel.
• Maintain flexibility with working hours, with availability on short notice as required.
• Assist with errands, general vehicle upkeep, and special requests as needed.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, insurance, garage arrangements, and ensure all service records are current and compliant.
• Ensure the vehicle remains in pristine condition at all times.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of Manhattan and the Tri-State area, including optimal routes and traffic patterns.
• Maintain and care for luxury vehicles with a high level of attention to detail.

 

Qualifications/Characteristics:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in law enforcement, military, or private security roles.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Security Driver in New York City.
• Authorized and trained to carry concealed firearms, with compliance to local and state firearms regulations.
• Previous experience working within a household staff team is preferred.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in all professional matters.
• Positive, professional, and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Highly skilled in defensive driving techniques, with a focus on avoiding potential threats, accidents, or hazards.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A team player with a hands-on approach to tasks and responsibilities.
• Excellent references from current and previous positions.
• Certification in Defensive Driving or Evasive Driving is preferred.

 

Must-Have Requirements:

• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• U.S. work authorization.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Licensed and qualified to carry a firearm, or the ability to obtain such licenses in the state of New York.
• Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or private security is required.

 

Schedule: Schedule is dependent on the CEO’s schedule.

 

Compensation: Base pay of $175k offered with annual bonus potential. Significant benefits included.
