GIS Analyst - Onsite

As our GIS Analyst, your technical expertise can be utilized to enhance several City operations through geoprocessing, spatial data conversions, and produce map layouts for all City Departments as well as the public and private sectors.

What You'll Do:

  • Creates internet webmap applications
  • Develops and maintains online GIS related content
  • Utilizes a variety of geoprocessing tools and extensions, automates geoprocessing tasks with Model Builder, ArcPy, and Python
  • Create and maintains planimetric data using as-built plans, aerial phot interpretation, and CAD drawings.
  • Creates spatial data using COGO including complex curves, legal descriptions, plats, surveys, and as-built plan interpretation.
  • And a variety of other tasks where you can use analytical and technical expertise in the GIS field.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Cartography, GIS/Spatial Science, Geography, Planning, Computer Science or similar field OR an additional four (4) years of full time employment in GIS
  • Three (3) years of experience with Python, HTML, and Javascript
  • One (1) year of experience creating and maintaining web-based applications
  • A valid driver's license.

WORK HOURS:              Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Occasional After hours needed

WORK LOCATION:        City of Branson, Missouri; City Hall.  This is an in office position requiring work to be performed onsite.
