Division Summary: The Bay Metal Works Inc. division of the Bay Family of Companies is a custom metal fabricating facility located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Our capabilities and equipment include; two 230 Ton Press Brake, Fiber Laser, Water Jet, Tube Laser, Plasma, Oxy/fuel cutting capabilities. We have 25 tons of crane capacity and over 110,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space. Job Summary: The Press Brake operator will be responsible for operating the Amanda Press Brake. This person will be responsible for the quality of all materials produced while maintaining company safety guidelines and practices. As a Press Brake operator you will work with the floor supervisors, quality control and Plant Manager to ensure that all work is formed to the specifications of each job and meets outlined requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Set up and operate the Amanda and Bystronic Press Brake
2. Organize workflow to minimize machine downtime
3. Read and interpret blue prints and engineering specifications
4. Follow shop and customer policies and standards
5. Observe operation of machine and adjust the bend program as needed
6. Perform quality control checks and make adjustments as needed
7. Adhere to all company safety standards and policies
Education and Experience:
· Ability to work successfully in a team oriented environment, required
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis, required
· Ability to multi-task in order to ensure efficient operations of the team, required
· Ability to form complex parts, required
· Possess own hand tools as necessary
Physical Demands:
The Press Brake Operator can be exposed to manufacturing conditions such as heat, cold, loud noises, chemicals, dangerous machinery and other hazards.
