Box Office Supervisor (part-time)

The part-time Box Office Ticket Supervisor is responsible for supervising and assisting the part-time Box Office Ticket Sellers with customer escalations and sales practices on event days while acting as Manager on Duty.

Essential Functions: 

  • Acts as Manager on Duty for event days and assists the Box Office Manager as needed
  • Distributes and reconciles cash banks and sales summaries for part-time Box Office Ticket Sellers
  • Assists and monitors ticket resolution ipad staff at entrances
  • Assigns digital sign messaging on ticket windows in accordance with staffing needs
  • Answers questions concerning events, tickets, schedules, and gives information concerning coming attractions
  • Provides courteous and professional customer service through phone calls and in-person customer escalations
  • Assists with selling and delivering digital admission tickets from an automated ticketing system as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Education / Qualifications:                                                         

  • Minimum of 1 year experience with Ticketmaster systems (Host & Sales preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory role preferred
  • High school diploma/GED and 6 months’ work-related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bilingual ability is a plus
  • Must be customer-service oriented, have a fan-friendly attitude and a professional appearance at all times
  • Must have basic computer skills and the ability to type 25 wpm
  • Must be able to assist guests with mobile phone/app maneuverability
  • Must be reliable and capable of working independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to speak well to customers and other employees
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Physical Demands / Work Environment:  

  • Must adhere to all company building protocols
  • Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, use hands to reach and handle tickets, receipts, cash, and microphone
  • Position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, during events, the noise level may be loud
  • Must be able to work in a high-volume, stressful environment at times
  • Employees must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
