Housekeeper Upper East Side

Our clients are a busy family with a beautiful residence in the UES of NYC. They are looking to hire a professional and experienced Lead Housekeeper. This individual will work alongside their current staff, including a Housekeeper, Nanny, and Driver, to ensure the family's house is beautifully maintained.

This is a hands-on cleaning role ideal for a professional who works well independently, can train a hard-working junior colleague, and takes pride in maintaining impeccable standards. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, happily attend to the principals' preferences, and manage multiple projects efficiently.

An individual with a cheerful and quiet disposition who enjoys taking complete care of the residence and stepping in to help as needed, will thrive in this role.

 

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily and deep cleaning of the home.
• Care for fine materials and finishes, including silver, wood, china, crystal, and artwork.
• Oversee, coach, and work alongside a junior Housekeeper.
• Manage Food and Beverage inventory, including groceries and fridge rotation.
• Prepare simple dinners for the children four days per week.
• Handle household laundry tasks.
• Complete organizational projects to maintain household efficiency.
• Run errands as needed.
• Assist with pet care for the family's well-trained dog.
• Serve and/or assist during events.
• Travel to the Hamptons for one month during the summer is preferred.

 

Qualifications:

• Strong skill set in cleaning and laundry, with exceptional knowledge of care for fine materials.
• Prior experience as a Housekeeper in a private home or luxury hospitality setting.
• Comfortable working in a busy household with four school-aged children and a friendly dog.
• Self-starter who enjoys supporting a family.
• Personable, discreet, and able to read the room.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Able to spend one month in the Hamptons during the summer.

 

Schedule:

This is a full-time, year-round position, generally, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm with flexibility required.

 

Compensation:

Compensation of $40 - $45+ per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.  Benefits include a healthcare stipend.
