Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic National Sales and Distribution Manager to lead and manage our broadline distribution network across the Americas region, overseeing a $50 million territory. This role is crucial for driving sales growth, gaining new customers, and expanding market share. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to develop and execute strategies that enhance our market presence and achieve significant revenue growth.
As a key leader, you will manage a high-performing team of 10 direct reports and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product Management. Reporting directly to the Director of North America Sales, you will use your deep industry knowledge and strategic acumen to propel our business forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership: Drive aggressive sales growth and market share expansion by developing and executing innovative sales strategies.
- Market Penetration: Identify and capitalize on opportunities to take market share from competitors and secure new clients.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key distribution partners and direct clients, ensuring long-term business success.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 10 direct reports to achieve and exceed performance targets.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work seamlessly with internal teams to align distribution efforts with broader company goals and ensure successful product launches and promotions.
- Market Insights: Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to keep our distribution strategy competitive and aligned with market demands.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in sales, distribution management, or business development within the electronics, communications, or hardware solutions industries. Demonstrated success in working with broadline distributors is essential.
- Sales Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams, manage complex distribution networks, and drive significant sales growth in a matrixed environment.
- Sales Acumen: Outstanding sales management skills with a proven history of consistently achieving sales targets, driving substantial revenue growth, and significantly expanding customer bases.
- Team Management: Proven experience in managing and developing a team, providing leadership, coaching, and guidance to ensure team members meet performance targets and deliver results.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with new and existing clients, distribution partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret sales data and market trends to make strategic, growth-oriented decisions.
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present compellingly to senior leadership and external partners.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively to engage with clients, distributors, and internal teams across the Americas region.
