NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and operational support to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 30 year(s) of experience OR MA/MS Degree in Biology

  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, Adobe
Duties:

Incumbent will advise and assist with implementation and delivery of numerous aspects of the Federal and Junior Duck Stamp Programs including stamp print inspection, planning of events, review of communications materials, and all aspects of budget execution.

  • Provide advice on all aspects of Duck Stamp budget including but not limited to Amplex deposits, distribution of royalties, budget develop and execution   25%
  • Provide advice on Federal and Junior Stamp production including print inspection, carrier art, etc.   20%
  • Provide advice on event planning including but not limited to state and Federal Junior Duck Stamp Contest, First Day of Sale, and Federal Contest   20%
  • Provide advice on eStamp implementation including but not limited to completing Information Collection forms, developing application materials for states, developing MOUs with states, and assisting with reconciling state payments as needed   25%
  • Provide advice on communications with artists, collectors, and other stakeholders as well as general Program communications   10%

Other:
  • Travel Requirements: Travel MAY be needed to assist with event planning, print inspection, etc.
  • Overnight travel: Overnight travel MAY be requested.
  • Air travel anticipated: Maximum of 4 trips during period of performance may be requested.
  • Rental cars: Maximum of 4 trips during period of performance may be requested.
  • Physical requirements: This is primarily a desk job, but may involve handling/moving Duck Stamp products.
  • Remote work arrangements are available for this position.
