Executive Housekeeper Seeking Transition to a House Manager Role in a Fine Home

Position Summary:
Our discerning client in Coconut Grove, Miami, FL is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper with old-world European sensibilities who is ready to take the next step into a House Manager position. This is a rare opportunity for an exceptional individual to transition into a broader leadership role within a private estate.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in luxury estate housekeeping, exceptional organizational skills, and a refined sense of hospitality.

 

To ensure a smooth transition, the principals’ team has planned a thoughtful and extended handoff as you assume the responsibilities of the House Manager. You will be responsible for maintaining the residence to the highest standards, ensuring a polished, refined atmosphere for the family and their guests.

 

This is a hands-on role that requires actively assisting the housekeeping team as needed, stepping in to ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards. The position includes overseeing the household staff, managing domestic operations, and ensuring the seamless flow of day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a refined, welcoming atmosphere that aligns with exceptional hospitality and sophistication
  • Manage laundry, wardrobe care, and organization of personal items, with keen attention to quality and presentation
  • Ensure that all household areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and elegance
  • Oversee and coordinate the housekeeping staff, ensuring training, scheduling, and quality control
  • Assist with household inventory management and replenishment of supplies
  • Establish and maintain systems for housekeeping efficiency, while preserving the home’s timeless aesthetic
  • Actively participate in daily tasks alongside the team. Be willing to step in and assist with any housekeeping task, leading by example and fostering a strong work ethic within the team
  • Assist with and then assume responsibility for staff management, vendor relationships, and operational oversight
  • Work closely with the principals to anticipate their needs, providing a seamless and discreet service

 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Housekeeper or Junior House Manager with housekeeping responsibilities or in a similar role in a high-end private residence
  • A strong foundation in luxury housekeeping with an understanding of European-style hospitality and traditional cleaning techniques
  • A natural attention to detail and an ability to maintain an elevated level of cleanliness and order
  • Experience managing a team and coordinating household staff
  • A polished, professional demeanor, with a calm and composed manner in all situations
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and adapt to evolving household needs
  • Ability to step into a House Manager role, with an interest in expanding your skill set to include broader operational responsibilities
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to household management, with a strong ability to anticipate needs
  • Discretion, confidentiality, and the ability to establish trust with the family and staff
  • Experience with household management software and general office systems (Excel, Outlook) is a plus

 

 

Schedule:
Typically Monday through Friday with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends depending on the family’s needs.

 

Compensation:
Competitive salary of $140,000 to $170,000 based on experience, with relocation assistance provided for the right candidate. Comprehensive benefits package.
