Engineering Intern - Materials & Processes

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As part of the Engineering Department, the Materials & Processes Engineering Intern will participate as a valuable member of Epic Aircraft's Engineering team. This is a paid Summer internship available to students currently enrolled in an Engineering or Aerospace program. The intern will gain real-world experience doing a variety of tasks related to Epic E1000 GX Aircraft. Other tasks may include:

  • Participate as a multidisciplinary Engineering team member
  • Assist Engineers and other team members with the design, development, and testing of aircraft parts, materials, and components
  • Assist with writing reports documenting activities and analyses
  • Assist in the test analysis and other test-related tasks, including test set-up and coordination

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Junior or Senior Level College Student working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering Specialty of Aerospace, Materials, Material Science, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or closely related discipline
  • Aviation/composite material experience desired
  • Laboratory testing experience desired
  • Ability to follow prescribed processes, specifications, and guidelines
  • Work well independently and in a team with a positive attitude & professional presence
  • Knowledge of computer-aided design and basic engineering analysis tools.
  • Strong mechanical design aptitude and capability
  • Fundamental understanding of basic engineering principles, including fluid mechanics, material strength, and stress analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Must be reliable and dependable with an excellent attendance and punctuality record
  • Must be Authorized to work in the U.S. for Any Employer without Sponsorship now or in the future
