Your Role as a Field Technician

Southeastern Equipment's Field Technicians are essential to keeping our operations running smoothly. You'll perform diagnostics and repairs on both company-owned and customer-owned equipment out in the field.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Complete repairs and maintenance on equipment, ensuring everything is up to manufacturer standards.
  • Stay up to date on all certifications, training, and dealer updates related to the equipment we sell and service.
  • Perform diagnostics using various tools and equipment, such as laptops, and follow manufacturer procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, both at the shop and at customer job sites.
  • Maintain positive communication with customers, and collaborate effectively with service, parts, and administrative teams.
  • Operate heavy equipment and trucks safely.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a secure and compliant work environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: GED/High School Diploma + a minimum of 2 years of Diesel Technology, Agricultural Technology, Automotive Technology, or Heavy Equipment Technology degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 2-5 years working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, or experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Basic tool set and storage required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and manuals.
  • Must be personable, highly motivated, reliable, ethical, and adaptable to customer, supplier, coworker, and manufacturer needs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a CDL if necessary. Must also maintain an insurable driving record.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen (including medical marijuana).
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs. or more.
  • Requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, and stretching.

Please keep in mind that the posted pay range represents the range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual hourly/salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location, certifications, and skill development and potential bonuses.
