How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

 

As an Analyst III, Import Trade Compliance, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing and reporting data on import activity of ANDREW. Your duties will include updating and distributing the company’s international procedures manual; reviewing the applicability and issuance/filing of required certificates or licenses; classifying goods for import; and preparing and filing various requests with various government agencies. You’ll also be responsible for preparing presentations, graphs, charts, etc.; assisting in the maintenance of SAP (foreign trade and import compliance) utilization and data accuracy, including harmonized tariff codes, country of origin codes, and various country’s export commodity codes.

You will assist in the development, implementation, and requisite compliance training across all business units. You will also support on international trade compliance issues and with the Empowered Official within the company under Title 19 CFR.

 

 

 

You Will Make an Impact By:

 

  • Gathering and analyzing import data and providing expert presentations, charts, and graphs covering foreign and US import compliance. 
  • Gathering and analyzing data for compliant, auditable import procedures.
  • Responsible for assisting in the development and ongoing support of internal and external services including:

o   Support with review/release of SAP/GTS Legal Regulation holds where the US HTS needs to be assigned.

o   When requested, assist exports with Denied Party Screening reviews/releases in GTS/SAP.

o   When requested, assist with ECCN Reviews.

o   Receive/Review/Reply to customs broker requests for information on pending US import entries, including Antidumping (ADD/CVD), US HTS, CoO, Value, etc.

o   Monitor and act upon, as appropriate, governmental notices or actions.

o   When requested, assist to verify accuracy of country of origin marking, labeling, packing and translations.

o   Create and/or update and manage global compliance operating manuals as needed.

o   Review, and audit as appropriate, import data for accuracy and oversight.

o   Determine import admissibility of any product Andrew markets.

o   Assist in the response to notices of penalties, summonses, subpoenas, and government agency questionnaires.

o   Assist, as appropriate, in assigning appropriate Incoterms 2000 sales terms in sales offers, contracts, letters of credit, and other related documents.

o   Review/analysis and assignment of US Import HTS Codes to Andrew commodities.

o   Conduct training; maintain reference materials, and the dissemination of updates to export policies and procedures.

o   Maintain such records as are required by other import laws, as identified and appropriate.  I.E., import recordkeeping.

o   Run ACE Reports monthly for PMS duty outlay and report to Treasury.

o   Contributes expert information and recommendations in support of strategic and tactical sourcing decisions, including preferential duty treatment, quotas, import/export restrictions, trade agreements and other related factors.

  • Responsible for the administration of ANDREW’s global trade programs and compliance to regulatory procedures including:

 

o   Managing the accuracy of all related import declarations.

o   Managing accuracy of audits and recordkeeping.

o   Assist with the review and authentication of all certificates of origin (including USMCA).

 

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transportation or 5-10 years of related experience in the industry.
  • Trade compliance certification or license (e.g., Customs broker’s license or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills that can transcend multiple organizational levels
  • Excellent analytical skills. Ability to think tactically and strategically
  • Good team player, and consensus builder
  • Effective in cross-cultural environment
  • Must be able to work efficiently and measurably in a remote work environment
  • Must be able to multi-task, when required
  • Must be able to work independently and govern/manage assigned workload
