Summary

The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor provides leadership to the Shipping, Receiving and Stockroom team.  The Supervisor prioritizes work and directs the daily activities for the department. The Supervisor is responsible to ensure all products are received into the facility and stored appropriately. The Supervisor prioritizes and ensures customer products are packaged correctly and shipped to customers in a timely manner. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises and leads the Shipping, Receiving and Stockroom teams. 
  • Schedules and prioritizes work and directs daily departmental activity.
  • Monitors the receiving of incoming shipments and stocking items in the warehouse. 
  • Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all inventory transactions and physical movement of materials from receipt to stocking to distribution.
  • Conducts cycle counts and periodic physical inventories of stockroom and work in progress.
  • Ensures that the stockroom and storage areas are laid out and organized effectively to ensure efficient operation.
  • Ensures that parts and products are packaged per customer requirements. 
  • Ensures all products are shipped to domestic and international customers in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all documentation required for domestic and international shipments is completed and processed correctly.
  • Is responsible to manage and track all shipments. 
  • Supervises kit assembly work orders for production.
  • Is responsible to monitor and maintain appropriate shipping materials and supplies for the department.
  • Monitors and expedites shortages on production orders as required.  Communicates part demand with Purchasing and requests deliveries and reschedules as needed.
  • Maintains an organized, safe, and clean work environment.

Job Requirements

  • HS diploma required. Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred  
  • Minimum 3 years Shipping/Receiving/Stockroom experience, experience with International Shipping required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP Systems and Proficient in computer / internet navigation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task effectively and adapt to changing priorities
  • Knowledge and experience with Export Control and Electronic Export Information filings
  • Knowledge and experience working with FedEx, UPS, DHL, and other Freight Carriers shipment systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.  Ability to stand, twist and bend up to 50% of the time
