Maron Marvel has a unique opportunity for an Of Counsel Attorney to join its Dallas office as “Dedicated Counsel” for one of our largest clients. We are seeking an experienced (5+ years) attorney who will operate independently, and exclusively receive assignments of general liability claims from one client.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proactive management from start to finish of general liability claims
• Drafting of pleadings, written discovery, motions, and research
• Frequent client communications and reporting—maintain detailed records, a file log, and data to review with client on a monthly basis
• Comprehensive legal analysis, case evaluations, and strategy recommendations   
• Deposition, arbitration, court hearing, and mediation attendance

Qualifications:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice in Texas
• 5+ years working with insurance companies in general liability defense claims
• Experience with best practices of insurance companies
• Demonstrated ability and desire to manage caseload proactively from start to finish
• Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage and work in a team environment
• Strong research ability, written/oral communication skills, and problem-solving skills
• Desire to deliver exceptional client service and contribute to continued client development
