Maron Marvel has a unique opportunity for an Of Counsel Attorney to join its Dallas office as “Dedicated Counsel” for one of our largest clients. We are seeking an experienced (5+ years) attorney who will operate independently, and exclusively receive assignments of general liability claims from one client.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactive management from start to finish of general liability claims
- Drafting of pleadings, written discovery, motions, and research
- Frequent client communications and reporting—maintain detailed records, a file log, and data to review with client on a monthly basis
- Comprehensive legal analysis, case evaluations, and strategy recommendations
- Deposition, arbitration, court hearing, and mediation attendance
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in Texas
- 5+ years working with insurance companies in general liability defense claims
- Experience with best practices of insurance companies
- Demonstrated ability and desire to manage caseload proactively from start to finish
- Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage and work in a team environment
- Strong research ability, written/oral communication skills, and problem-solving skills
- Desire to deliver exceptional client service and contribute to continued client development
