Machine Control Manager
Machine Control is an under-penetrated business at Southeastern and requires a leader who can organize and motivate teams across the organization to rally focus in this area and build an infrastructure to support sales and service growth. In the initial phase of this role, the Machine Control Manager will split their time between directly selling to customers and managing two additional associates to execute installation, setup, maintenance and operator training.
- Lead the organization as SME for all things related to Machine Control
- Act as subject matter expert for Leica, Tremble and competitive products and applications for both internal employees and external customers
- Regularly assess vendor benefits to ensure the best fit for Southeastern's customers
- Stay current on the competitive market of 2D and 3D technologies
- Lead the selling process for Machine Control
- Educate the sales team on machine control fundamentals and critical selling behaviors
- Directly sell to customers to establish a successful process to scale the business
- Manage the coordination of installation, setup and operator training for sold equipment
- Develop an event strategy
- Partner with marketing, sales and operations to plan and execute customer education events to drive sales and adoption
- Explore revenue-generating events for customers/operators/prospects
- Plan and execute a technician training initiative to expand coverage of technical support for machine control
- Partner with marketing team to develop and maintain strong external campaigns to drive both machine control adoption and sales of technology and iron
Educational and Experience Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Heavy Equipment Industry or experience in site control, site layout, takeoffs, grade checking, and machine control
