Office Assistant III - Utilities

The City of Branson Utilities Department is looking for an experienced Office Assistant

This role requires strong collaboration skills and proven expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word
to help keep one of our busiest offices running smoothly.


What You'll Do

  • Provide accurate and efficient clerical support for all divisions within the Utilities Department.
  • Tackle a mix of routine tasks and dynamic projects in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Manage high level reports with confidence using Microsoft Office Suite (or Google Sheets/Docs).
  • Ensure timely communication and documentation to keep operations running smoothly.
What It Takes to Be Successful in This Role
  • A high school diploma or GED is required, with at least two (2) years of experience working with the public. 
  • Bonus points if you bring three (3) or more years of clerical experience in a professional office setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or Google Sheets/Docs) is a must—we're looking for someone who's comfortable with data and detail.
  • You'll need to be at least 18, have a valid driver's license, and be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • We're looking for someone who brings integrity, initiative, and a strong work ethic—plus the ability to work independently.
  • Great communication, strong organization, sound judgment, and a commitment to excellent customer service are key.
  • Safety-minded and team-oriented—working alongside leadership to support department goals and make a real impact.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:  The starting hourly wage is $18.35 per hour and will increase to $19.09 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.

WORK HOURS:        Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
WORK LOCATION:  City of Branson, Missouri; Pacific Street Tower.  This is an in office position requiring work to be performed onsite. 
CLOSING DATE:      Until Filled
