A dynamic executive family in New York City’s UES is seeking a proactive and service-minded professional to join their household team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who enjoys leading a team and managing projects and priorities to ensure seamless day-to-day residential operations.
We're looking for someone with excellent judgment, a calm and positive demeanor, and the ability to pivot quickly as needs shift. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys supporting others and takes ownership of every task, big or small.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support household staff and collaborate directly with principals
- Manage family, household, and staff calendars, appointments, and schedules
- Handle administrative functions including expenses, payroll coordination (Paychex), and household recordkeeping
- Coordinate family travel
- Serve as the liaison with vendors, service providers, and the building superintendent
- Plan and manage events, both small and large-scale, from start to finish
- Develop and implement organizational systems
- Oversee home maintenance, repairs, and renovation projects
- Run errands, manage online orders, and assist with gifting and personal tasks
- Travel occasionally to secondary residences in the Hamptons and Aspen
- Utilize Google Suite, Notion, Lutron, Crestron, and Savant and other systems preferred by the princpals.
- Provide general support and jump in wherever needed to keep things running smoothly
Qualities
- 6+ years of Personal Assistant and/or House Management experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- High emotional intelligence and intuitive understanding of household dynamics
- Professionalism and grace under pressure
- Meticulous follow-through and attention to detail
- Positive, team-oriented, and solutions-focused approach
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and 24/7 mindset
- Tech-savvy and comfortable building efficiencies with digital tools
- Valid driver’s license (car not required)
- Excellent verifiable references from similar roles
Work Environment
- Location: Onsite in UES residence, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with flexibility for occasional early starts, late evenings, and weekend needs
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary of $130,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience
- Discretionary annual bonus and full benefits package
