<h1>THE Arc of SOUTHWEST GEORGIA</h1> <p> </p> <p><strong>RESIDENTIAL DIRECTOR</strong></p> <p><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>The Residential Director maintains all regulatory and compliance issues for the individuals served by the agency. Coordinates care and delivery of services to all residential clients. Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Residential Department.</p> <p> </p> <p>Exempt Position.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p>Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Residential Department</p> <p>Maintains direct contact with Support Coordination Team Leaders and Supervisory personnel.</p> <p>Serves as a member of new hire (contract and employees) interview team and participates in the screening process for the Residential Department.</p> <p>Ensures that all residential clients are staffed according to the ISP/DBHDD regulations.</p> <p>Handles incoming residential phone calls from community, families and other agency providers.</p> <p>Ensures that the residential department is compliant with all regulatory and policy requirements.</p> <p>Maintains list of legal guardians and contact information.</p> <p>Evaluates and presents all new person-served intakes and presents to the Deputy Director and Executive Director (i.e., Intake and Referral Committee).</p> <p>Identifies and completes requests for new services needed for individuals served.</p> <p>Attends provider meetings and relays information to appropriate locations and personnel.</p> <p>Performs site supervisory visits according to identified needs occasionally (look at problematic homes). </p> <p>Supervises all staff in the residential department and completes required documentation as needed (disciplinary notice, evaluations, leave requests, etc.).</p> <p>Has a working knowledge of Community Standards for ALL Providers, HFR, CLA, PHC, and waiver regulations.</p> <p>Conducts weekly departmental meeting and monthly Direct Support meetings.</p> <p>Ensures agency policy and procedures are being followed.</p> <p>Collaborates with the Compliance Director and Director of Human Resources on policy changes, investigations and individual grievances.</p> <p>Works with the Behavior Specialist concerning individuals served.</p> <p>Interacts and communicates effectively with all residential team members.</p> <p>Provides verbal detailed and written reports on assigned functions at all residential, departmental and managerial meetings.</p> <p>Participates monthly in at least one committee as assigned.</p> <p>Carries and answers cell phone promptly and returns all phone calls according to urgency of call. Listens to voice mails ongoing.</p> <p>Other duties as may be assigned, including but not limited to: Host Home Application Packets, Waivers of Standards (WOS), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) Certifications, DDPs (Developmentally Disabled Professional), Waiver Services Applications (new and updates).</p> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> <p><strong>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <p>Preferred: A four-year degree from an accredited institution in Physiology, sociology and or a related field.</p> <p>Required: 3 years’ experience in the disability field. All skills and experience will be considered.</p> <p> </p>
