Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator - Ladson, SC

We are g hiring a Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator.  This position is responsible to transfer, secure, and stage freight by operating forklifts and other equipment to load and unload trailers so that freight will arrive at final destination in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.

Ever think about all the things that could impact a shipment delivering on time? (Weather, traffic, engine troubles, pretty much ANYTHING). This career is helping to keep freight moving.

• Must be forklift certified or have 3 years of direct forklift experience.
• Prepare of all loads for shipping by following all DOT, OSHA, and company safety guidelines to protect the load, public, equipment, and property at all times.
• Looks up shipping instructions in computer system.
• Assists with loading/unloading, covering, and securement of loads as needed.
• Conducts required safety inspection checks daily.

“What does it take to be successful?”

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Forklift certified or become certified within 90 days of employment.
• Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task and work independently.
• Must be a team player, amenable to a variety of work projects.
• Good decision-making, problem-solving, attention to detail and customer service skills (internal/external).
