We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and collaborative Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organization into its next chapter of strategic growth and community impact. The CEO will oversee operations for multiple agencies and programs, including land development and those providing in-home companionship and respite services, with a focus on excellence, innovation, and advocacy within the IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) field.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO serves as the highest executive authority within A&S Management, responsible for executing the organization’s mission and vision, and ensuring operational, financial, and cultural alignment across all managed agencies. The CEO will lead with integrity and purpose, drive performance and accountability, and cultivate partnerships that advance services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
This position requires a seasoned leader with deep understanding of the IDD service landscape, strong financial and organizational management capabilities, and the ability to inspire staff, families, partners, and stakeholders alike.
- Set and implement long-term strategic plans in alignment with mission and community needs.
- Identify opportunities for program innovation, growth, and service expansion.
- Guide organizational development and oversee change management as the agency grows.
- Work in close partnership with the Board to ensure strategic alignment and transparency.
Program & Operational Oversight
- Provide executive oversight to multiple programs delivering support services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ensure that service delivery meets or exceeds quality and regulatory standards.
- Promote a culture of excellence, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Direct all aspects of risk management, compliance, and accreditation.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the lead representative of A&S Management clients with partners, vendors, families, and the broader IDD community.
- ?Build and sustain strong relationships with regional centers, state agencies, advocacy groups, and industry leaders.
- Act as a spokesperson and advocate to advance public policy and awareness.
- Oversee fiscal health of the organization, including multi-million-dollar budgets, audits, funding contracts, and financial controls.
- Collaborate with finance teams and leadership to develop sustainable budgets and business models.
- Explore and develop diversified funding streams including public, private, and philanthropic sources.
Team Development & Culture
- Build and lead a high-performing executive team and cultivate leadership across all departments.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and mission-aligned workplace culture.
- Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures for staff.
- Champion equity, inclusion, and staff well-being at all organizational levels.
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors, providing timely updates and strategic recommendations.
- Engage board members in meaningful governance, development, and oversight efforts.
- Support Board recruitment, training, and evaluation.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in public administration, nonprofit leadership, social work, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in nonprofit or health and human services, with at least 5 years in executive-level roles.
- Proven success managing complex organizations or multi-agency environments.
- Extensive experience working within the developmental disabilities sector or related health and human services field.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive outcomes, and build strong, mission-aligned teams.
- Deep understanding of regional center systems, DDS (Department of Developmental Services) structures, and applicable funding and regulatory requirements.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing large budgets and contracts.
