JOB SUMMARY:

The Clear Creek County Tourism Bureau Director oversees the tourism marketing and management in Clear Creek County. The Director plays a pivotal role in promoting and enhancing the county’s tourism profile, including developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that attract visitors, encourage local visitors to support local businesses, and drive economic growth while managing community well-being. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and creative professional with a passion for community engagement and tourism management, capable of leading campaigns that highlight the unique attractions, culture, and experiences Clear Creek County has to offer as well as performing administrative tasks in managing the CCCTB office. This position reports to the CCCTB Board of Directors and is responsible for delivering timely updates on tourism marketing and management to the Clear Creek County Board of County Commissioners.

 

 

 

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Develop, manage, and execute marketing and public relations campaigns, including asset organization, material distribution, and timeline oversight.
  • Source and evaluate new advertising opportunities; create cohesive, branded campaigns tailored to market conditions.
  • Maintain and manage CCCTB’s digital presence, including social media (minimum of 3 posts per week) and website content.
  • Copywriting for marketing content across all platforms.
  • Design graphics for digital and print media.
  • Conduct photography and videography to build and update the CCCTB asset database.
  • Manage SEO strategies and implementation to enhance online visibility.
  • Actively promote and distribute tourism-related business specials and events.
  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with county businesses, municipalities, and tourism stakeholders.
  • Perform regular outreach and daily visitation to county businesses to assess and assist with marketing needs.
  • Welcome new businesses, inform them about CCCTB services, and ensure they’re supported.
  • Send monthly newsletter emails to all county businesses to provide updates and maintain engagement.
  • Organize and plan the bi-annual community engagement mixer.
  • Manage administrative tasks for CCCTB, including all printing needs.
  • Respond promptly and consistently to all public and partner inquiries across available channels.
  • Create monthly Director’s Reports and prepare proactive agendas for monthly Board of Directors meetings.
  • Be a steward and gatekeeper of the CCCTB budget, including monthly reporting and financial analysis.
  • Ensure strict adherence to and interpretation of CCCTB bylaws.
  • Analyze tourism and marketing data to guide strategic decisions and adapt to evolving market conditions.
  • Organize and maintain the visitor center display, interactive kiosk, and county visitor website.
  • Attend county and public meetings as a representative of CCCTB to promote tourism and address related issues.
  • Collaborate with tourism managers and partners on joint campaigns and events.
  • Maintain beneficial relationships with the Clear Creek County Board of County Commissioners, County staff, municipalities, and the CCCTB Board of Directors.

 

 

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

  • A degree in marketing, communications, tourism, public relations, business, or a related field preferred but not required.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Experience in Direct Marketing Organization Required
  • Background in a direct marketing organization with experience in campaign development, audience targeting, and results-driven strategy.
  • Graphic Design
  • Proficiency in creating visual content for both digital and print media using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms.
  • Digital Media Management
  • Experience managing digital marketing channels, including social media, email campaigns, and online advertising.
  • Website Maintenance
  • Familiarity with updating and maintaining websites using content management systems (e.g., WordPress), with an understanding of user experience and SEO best practices.
  • Public Relations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for media outreach, press releases, public statements, and crisis communication when needed.
