3rd Shift Warehouse Supervisor HIRING NOW!

The Warehouse Shift Supervisor will supervise the 3rd shift team of about 25 individuals.  We’re looking for an experienced, motivated and organized person to lead our overnight warehouse team. This role is essential to ensure smooth operations during third shift, maintain productivity, safety and accuracy in all warehouse activities. 

Shift is from 11:00PM – to 9:00AM.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the warehouse team during 3rd shift.
• Training team members on proper job procedures and the timekeeping system.
• Ensure all shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor employee performance, provide training, coaching, and support as needed.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other shifts and departments to ensure seamless operations.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise the activities of unloading and sorting freight from approximately 15 inbound/outbound trailers during the shift
• Supervise the activities of sorting and loading freight for approximately 85 delivery vehicles for early morning departure.
• Ensures that inbound trailer receive scans are performed in compliance with customer requirements.
• Ensure various customer reporting is performed during the shift
• Assists in verifying that outgoing deliveries meet company quality standards.
• Leads the effort of a clean and safe work environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and labor hours.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Handle any issues or emergencies that arise during the shift promptly.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience of supervising a shift of approximately 40 warehouse workers is a must.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Physical ability to perform warehouse duties as needed.

 

 

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of warehouse supervisory experience

 

Physical Requirements:

• Active warehouse setting with physical demands including lifting, bending, and standing
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 75 pounds repetitively
• Exposure to varying temperatures depending on the season
• Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
