About the Role
We're seeking a compassionate, humble, and honest Anesthesia Technician to join our growing surgical department. You'll work with a team that values autonomy, responsibility, and mutual support.
Typical Cases: Orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries
Impact: Help expand surgical services to the community and elevate pain management hospital-wide
Responsibilities
- Develop individualized anesthetic protocols
- Induce, monitor, and recover ASA I-IV patients
- Perform local/regional blocks
- Provide pre-op and post-op care
- Assist with lab work, imaging, and accurate medical records
- Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
- 1+ years of specialty veterinary anesthesia experience
- Completion of an accredited veterinary technician program
- Oregon State Veterinary Technician License
- High school diploma or GED
- Background check required for controlled substance handling
Skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking
- Accurate drug dosage calculations
- Advanced understanding of physiology and pharmacology
- Radiographic technique, venipuncture, catheter placement
- CPR and life support capabilities
- Desire to grow and learn continuously
