Job Description:
As the HR/Payroll Assistant, you will assist with various HR and payroll functions, including maintaining employee records, processing payroll, managing benefits, and facilitating employee onboarding. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Tasks:

  • Facilitating onboarding with new employees.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HR systems.
  • Process employee reviews and salary reviews.
  • Help with HR-related documentation, compliance, and reporting.
  • Organize and coordinate HR events, meetings, and communications.

Payroll Tasks:

  • Process payroll on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure all employee data is updated (hours worked, deductions, leave, etc.).
  • Handle payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing payroll reports for management and external authorities.
  • Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 distribution and tax reporting.

 

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in HR or payroll processing (internships or part-time experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge of payroll software (Viewpoint specifically is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with numerical data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • A proactive, reliable, and adaptable attitude.
