Cost Accounting Analyst

The Role -
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Cost Accounting Analyst to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.
The key responsibilities of this Cost Accounting Analyst include, but are not limited to:
- Support the finance team with a wide variety of cost related reporting and analysis; involves information verification, problem solving, reporting, scheduling, reconciling, analyzing, and accounting applications
- Preparation of numerous worksheets and financial analysis relating to actual results and forecasts
- Month end closing procedures – journal entries, reporting/analysis
- Monthly reconciliation of inventory and cost of sales
- Prepares and monitors work order variance on a weekly basis
- Daily reporting on factory earned hours, completions, and purchase spend receipts
- Standard cost review and maintenance
- Weekly/monthly cycle count program review
- Analyzing trends, costs, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future expenses
- Assigned special projects by the Manager and/or Controller as required
- Assist finance staff and other functions as required

Salary - $60,405.80 - $80,000
The Person -
The key skills and qualities of a Cost Accounting Analyst at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or 1 to 2 years’ experience
- Experience with financial analysis
- Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
- Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
- Ability to perform a variety of complicated tasks; a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Professional communication skills required, both written and verbal, to facilitate timely and accurate reporting of issues
- Works under moderate supervision
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional image with corporate, group, and other departments
- Aptitude with organization and multi-tasking
- Prolonged periods of sitting, data entry, and computer usage on a daily basis
- Limited travel to sister facilities
