SENIOR HR GENERALIST

Dessert Holdings is looking for a Senior HR Generalist to join our team based in London, Ontario. Reporting to the HR Manager, we are looking for an energetic professional ready to take on new challenges and open to work in a very dynamic environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support labor relations through conducting employee meetings and investigations, elevating concerns to the HR Manager as needed
- Investigate employee performance and disciplinary concerns, issuing corresponding corrective action letters where necessary
- Lead full cycle internal and external recruitment process for Administration roles and provide support on recruitment process for Production roles
- Support HR Manager on development, communication and rollout of new policies, procedures and information memos
- Provide exceptional employee support related to various employee concerns and requests
- Provide backup support for WSIB claim management and return to work process
- Provide guidance and backup support to HR Specialist for administering the attendance management program
- Support in planning, developing, and facilitating training and development programs, using the most effective delivery
- Train and provide ongoing support to other HR team members
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Psychology, etc.)
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in similar senior HR roles
- CHRP or CHRL designation preferred or working towards certification
- Ability to provide guidance to employees and ensure compliance in relation to Employment Standards, provincial and federal employment programs
- Proven knowledge of working with WSIB guidelines and return to work
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience in conflict resolution and mediation of employee concerns
- Excellent decision making and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
(Please note that this is an onsite position based in London, ON. Candidates must be willing to relocate if they are currently residing outside the area.)
