What You’ll Do 

As a vital member of our team, you’ll play a hands-on role in patient care, client communication, and hospital flow. Duties include: 

Essential Duties Include: 

  • Assisting veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments. 

  • Gathering patient history and vitals. 

  • Handling and restraining pets safely and compassionately. 

  • Record patient vitals, treatment plans, and client communications. 

  • Educating clients on wellness, nutrition, and preventive care, while answering their questions in person or by phone. 

  • Performing blood draws, IV catheter placement, and SQ/IM injections. 

  • Monitoring anesthesia and sedation patients. 

  • Collecting and preparing lab samples (blood, urine, fecal, skin/ear samples). 

  • Taking X-rays, monitoring ECGs, and assisting with surgical and dental procedures. 

  • Maintaining accurate medical records and supporting practice efficiency. 

  • Contributing to a clean, stocked, and organized hospital environment. 

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Experience: 2–5 years in a small animal practice required. 

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. Veterinary Technician license preferred but not required. 

Skills: 

  • Strong animal handling, restraint, and behavior knowledge. 
  • Solid understanding of pharmacology, preventive care, and diagnostics. 
  • Ability to calculate drug dosages and administer medications accurately. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and active listening communication skills. 
  • Compassion, empathy, and professionalism with both pets and clients. 
  • Adaptability, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Schedule: 

  • Monday–Friday: Flexible scheduling (4x10s or 5x8s). Saturday: (rotating/in the future).
