Scale House Operator Peace River Citrus Products

SUMMARY: This position will efficiently and accurately process shipments inbound and outbound. Enter orders into computer system, prepare manifests and all paperwork for a proper shipment. Provide exceptional customer service to drivers and customers, both internal and external.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Input Bill of Lading.
• Apply Seal(s) to drum containers and tankers, give placards to hazardous material loads, along with SDS sheets when needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
• Communicate with customers and truck drivers.
• Maintain housekeeping and general maintenance of scale house area.
• Keep supervisor up to date on shipments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to speak and read English to communicate with others. Bilingual a plus.
• Ability to operate computer.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• High level of attentiveness and be detail orientated in a fast paced work environment.
• Ability to work long hours and multiple shifts.
• Basic Mathematical skills required.
